Marcus Jennings Smith III, 58, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2021 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Marcus was born in Noblesville, Indiana on June 15, 1962 to Marcus Smith Jr. and Ruth Grimes.
Marcus enlisted in the United States Army and had achieved many of honors, one being the Special Forces Green Beret. Marcus enjoyed listening to rock and roll and never met a fried dish he didn't enjoy. He was a fan of watching the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers play. Marcus was loved by many and will be truly missed.
Marcus is survived by his wife of years, Lee Ann Smith, a son Jennings Smith (Marissa), two daughters; Marlee and Kassi Smith, 5 grandchildren; Ethan, Devin, Jakson, Colt and Greyson Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three dogs; Bear, Phat Boi and Gee Dawg.
A funeral service for Marcus will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Hendryx Mortuary- Cumberland Chapel from 1 P.M. – 4 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marcus's Honor to the family for The Community Heart and Vascular Hospital/ Heart failure clinic. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
Hendryx Mortuary has the honor of helping Marcus's family with the arrangements.
