Tribute & Message From The Family

"If a picture paints a thousand words
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show
The you I've come to know

If a face could launch a thousand ships
Then where am I to go?
There's no one home but you
You're all that's left me too
And when my love for life is running dry
You come and pour yourself on me

If a man could be two places at one time
I'd be with you
Tomorrow and today
Beside you all the way

If the world should stop revolving
Spinning slowly down to die
I'd spend the end with you
And when the world was through
Then one by one the stars would all go out
Then you and I would simply fly away"
-I will always love you Chris-Mom

Christopher "Chris" Jordan Van Buskirk, 40, passed away August 18, 2021.

There will not be any traditional services for Chris. He could not be in the military but if he had he'd expect a horse drawn caisson & gun salute. So that was out. He also discussed a Viking funeral ship that would be set afloat and flaming arrows shot toward it, but again, that was not an option. So to celebrate Chris's life, please each and everyone of you, do so in your own away. Whether that is by gaming, having a bonfire, releasing a balloon, or just scream at the sky. Chris connected with so many people around the world through gaming and social media.

He is survived by his mother, Sally; his fur babies, Marley, Angel Bug, and Michael Baboo Bear; his uncles, Bud, Mike, & Reed; aunts, Terry & Cathy; cousins, Jason & David; his father, Kevin Bruce; and special friends, Ellis & Anita.

Christopher had worked for several places. He had worked as a historical interpreter at Connor Prairie, security for several companies, Segway tours at the canal in Indianapolis, and for Stericycle.

Chris and I were friends and part of a family. He and I spent hours together talking, laughing, arguing, pushing each other in different ways. I loved having him around, I loved listening to his laugh, I loved when he got frustrated and huffed, and I loved listening to him go on about the things he was passionate about. I am going to miss our mornings sitting quietly in Voice Chat and grumbling about being awake quietly, I am going to miss our passionate debates and our inside jokes. My life is going to be emptier without him as Chris was my muse and inspiration. My heart goes out to his mom and family, and I send all my love. -Jackie Yocom, Watertown SD.

I have always been lucky in picking out friends. Most of my friends I consider them to be family. I owe a lot to Chris. I will miss him always. PS Keep a spot open for me at the big game table in the sky!

I'd like to say I am very sorry for your loss. I have never met him in person, but having known him for a couple of years I can tell he was a kind soul and I will miss him dearly...

I wish you strength in these times and hope that the knowledge that your son brought joy to my and many others life will somehow soothe

It is with a heavy heart that our Moderator and friend, CJ aka Morgana-p, passed away today due to Covid complications. CJ was a good friend to all and was absolutely a delight to know, and we will miss his laugh and the joy he brought. No one can ever replace the happiness that CJ shared and we give all our love and condolences to his family.

We the Staff are going to take a couple days to mourn our friend, there will be no stories ran while we pay our respects to our beloved friend and Moderator. The server is still active as CJ put just as much heart and soul into this place as we did and in honor of his memory we will keep going.
